👍 Ich denke, Social Media haben eine Menge Umgangsformen versaut. Das ungefragte Drauflosnölen nervt mich besonders.
Und immer mehr Menschen stehen unter Dampf, weil sie schlicht überfordert sind, nicht mehr können.
Bei obiger Tante bekam ich später noch ein Gespräch mit, wo sie klagte, dass sie sich so auf ihre Rente gefreut hatte und jetzt sei die Welt nur noch Chaos und Kriegsgefahr. Dann sucht sie sich die vermeintlich einfache Lösung, merkt nicht, dass diese Ideologie tötet.

Given the disruptive times, my TL has become quite political and I'm seriously worried. But I also have methods to remain stable, to not lose the ground under my feet. Art is medicine. Seems to be a Common Flesh Fly (Sarcophaga carnaria). Adults feed on nectar and sweet saps (like from aphids), therefore they often take sun baths on flowers. Females give birth to active grubs that feed on carrion and dung. The larvae eat worms. https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/124550-Sarcophaga-carnaria People often hate them because of the carrion/dung, but they are indeed pollinators.

You're welcome. I dived into this topic when I repainted my shutters from shit brown to lavender blue here in Alsace. Suddenly people in the village shunned me. That I had "dared to repaint ‘Catholic’ shutters into Jewish ones", they couldn't stand. I didn't know yet that such colour signs used to be common, right down to the colour of the tea towels. 🙄 🤣

Could be both directions. In Islam, the colour blue plays an important role, and it existed in art and architecture long before the colonialism of the French.
Then it becomes odd: The blue especially in the Tunisian town Sidi Bou Said was introduced in the 1920s by the French painter Rodolfe d’Erlanger - but he was especially interested in the importance of blue motifs and blue symbolism in Islam and perhaps copied these.
