You're welcome. I dived into this topic when I repainted my shutters from shit brown to lavender blue here in Alsace. Suddenly people in the village shunned me. That I had "dared to repaint ‘Catholic’ shutters into Jewish ones", they couldn't stand. I didn't know yet that such colour signs used to be common, right down to the colour of the tea towels. 🙄 🤣
