@npub1vyp…aghx Nice, thank you. Have you done any ROI calculations on the investment? We had some company that tried to sell a battery solution to us a few months ago. It was about 10kWh and the price was 15-20k€, so we pretty quickly said "lol no".

@npub1vyp…aghx Can you share some experiences with it? We have solar panels and it would be interesting to be able to "time shift" some of the production to more expensive and/or darker hours.
We don't yet have an electric car so we can't even shove the surplus there.

I feel like the web has gone really off the rails and is a total mess. It used to be that you could download a page with curl, look at the source and grab the things you needed from the source. Now that's usually not possible as there's so much JS that creates the real content. I feel the web needs to be burned to the ground and loaded from a working backup 20 years ago.

@npub1usf…yu9f That article was not too neutral, the writer had a clear agenda.
If cryptocurrencies could be shown to have any use beyond crime and pump/dump, sure, they could be allowed to exist. Assuming that the absolutely idiotic “proof of work” was removed. Now they just burn 10% of the total energy on our planet, killing it in the process. Also the tech is buggy shit. I’ve never seen so many successful scams and heists as in the cryptocurrency world.

Are cryptocurrencies still a thing serious people believe in and use? I hope the AI bandwagon would have steamrolled that crap. It would be the only useful thing done by AI as it’s now implemented. Cryptocurrencies never had any real and sane use cases.
