I was really amazed at how well the Fox Cartoon series captured the spirit of the Tick comic books.
I never really took to any of the live action attempts.
It's a shame we never got an authentic, Ben Edlund issue 13.

Third year as a widower and it's become painfully obvious which of the social contacts were my wife's and which were both of ours (I think I only have one I could call my very own).

I actually have no idea what that is. Today I tried Macy's, Belk, the Shoe Dept. Encore, even the Children's Place and came up with nothing. If I had more time I guess we could have tried Kohls and a few other spots, but I would have to do drive and we needed to make a shopping trip anyways.
It's no wonder online retail is kicking brick & mortar's butt. Except I hate buying shoes online - I think I've had to return 10 pairs in the past month because they didn't fit. Blah!

I carry one on my belt in a quick draw holster. It is NOT a good tool, but it IS a convenient tool. Many times it makes the difference between "Dang it, I'll tighten the screw on this/cut this tag off/open this/hold onto this . . .etc. right now and get it done with" and "Oh, I need to go grab [a tool] to fix this . . ." and then wind up getting distracted or waylaid and then forgetting what the heck I was doing in the first place.
It's useful for Dads with lots of kids.

Going back and fixing up the first season of Stranger Things for the (older) kids to watch this October - I really forgot how good it was. The following seasons really pale in comparison. The Duffers should've quit while they were ahead.

Is TikTok / YouTube causing this? In my youth I don't remember ever hearing about having to do insane things to meat before cooking it? Who the hell has time to dry age steak for a year in beeswax? WTF?
Who the hell does this? Who thinks this up? Why are they doing it? I assume it's just to generate clicks/views? Why not "I dry aged by steak for 10 years in an old commode - you won't believe what it tastes like!?"
And, yes, I realize someone probably already did that.

Perhaps we're in the end times? Perhaps Francis will usher in the age of the anti-Church? Or perhaps he'll die tomorrow and be replaced by an actual Catholic? I don't pretend to know much about such things.
I mostly focus on me and mine. Live a good life, seek grace, worship God, do the moral thing, and fulfill one's obligations according to one's station in life.

I am Catholic. And, contrary to some rumors, Catholics are Christians. For the most part. There are those who fall far short of the mark, but then even King David was a man with a godly heart and still wound up committing murder and adultery.
As far as heliocentrism goes, I'm agnostic. Historically speaking, though, it is the Catholics who are blamed for putting Galileo in "jail" because he pushed heliocentrism with too much vigor.

Just to elaborate - Dante, in his Divine Comedy, one of the most magnificent and Christian works of literature ever written, paints a picture of God's amazing majesty, mercy, justice, and power not just by describing the Inferno, but most especially in Book 2, where he shows the purification of sin through the mountain of Purgatory, which was created on the opposite side of the world by the earth displaced by Satan as he was cast down from Heaven.
