Some will be known issues, some might not. It's an important step to making shit better, even if you don't know how to categorise it. The people are nice and usually help triage.

@npub1sua…szrk I got #RedHat 6 #hedwig off a CD that came with a magazine in 2000. Took me days to get X running on my hardware using my dads computer to dial up the internet to find mailing list threads to get it going.
In the end my #winmodem was what sent me back to Windows. I would try again in 2004 when my university lecturer handed out his customised #Fedora core 2 based live CD that had all the utils we needed for the Unix admin class.

@npub10zm…zrpx that's why your experience is so different to mine. Been daily driving Plasama Wayland since Fedora 35. Gaming and VRR, steamVR too, just on amd side.
It sucks that nvidia wasted so much time, hopefully they can get it all squared away in the next few releases 👍

@npub1t9n…k9e7 if you're running #Fedora #KDE or #Kinoite on an #AMD #framework, you may get a core dump on #sddm resulting in a back screen on boot. Logging in via TTY works.
This stems from Fedora running sddm under wayland (the only distro doing it by default). For now switching back to X11 for sddm solves it

Entirely separate to the code lockup debacle - I think more than anything, this points out who RH considers their customers to be. They only want to convert million dollar deployments.
When you read the articles this links, it also shows how muddled the CentOS Stream messaging is - it is both "not for production" and development, but also the only offering for Small/Medium "non-enterprise" business. If their minimum license is also "not for production" who is it for?

there's been some good blogs by redhatters and former redhatters that have spoken on this topic better than RH themselves and provides a better view than "the sky is falling" we get from the clone cult on reddit and the like

But there are xdg-portals work to do this, just the same as with the permissions that was brought up in your other thread
