I helped move my niece last week, two bike loads, two car loads. One issue with the bike load was getting routed onto a "walk-yer-bike" narrow pedestrian bridge by the maps app:

Second day went better, I used a route that was differently awful. Been trying to figure out how to rant productively at local government about what a "connected cycling network" actually means, i.e., "for whomst?"

we've got enough land (and money) we could put some serious solar on it, if we felt like it. Direct hit with a bad hurricane (actually not that probable) would tear that up, though. Lightning strikes, MUCH more probable, might fry it.
But was also just now looking at NOAA web bulb predictions, some of these look a little problematic, real soon:

Two brothers and I now own an actually nice piece of property down there, and the question that has come up is "how long do we hang on to this?" It's darn pleasant in the winter, but summers are kinda "wow" now. In our experience greater fools are an inexhaustible resource so there's no rush to unload it, but the much-warmer ocean, and how that affects gulf water temperatures in coming years, that is an issue. If a hurricane knocks out enough power at a really hot part of the summer...

Just poking with tempest weather stations online, it looks like the wet bulb in Orlando is 2-3 degrees F cooler than on the Gulf Coast, where I see a lot of 82F.

I think I was somewhere in my 30s when I developed my generalized theory of ad/porn, "designed to make you change your standards of what you need/need-to-be". PBS's "This Old House" qualified, in my opinion, never mind all the airbrushed women and truck ads and beer ads etc.
