I'm not sure I follow. I saw the "argument", and I don't see why it happened in the first place.
Also, in the US, what does that leave you with? Just @npub15f7…m7wr That's not a lot of options. I can't use ISO keyboards, so that severely limits my options, given many Windows laptops don't work very well with Linux. There's always something, like RGB being broken, speakers not working, or something else. I went through four laptops and returned them all before I got Framework.

Shame they got rid of the 3k option. Looks like I'll have to get a Windows option and put Linux on it... Now there's no 1 TB or 2 TB of storage option. Looks like I'll have to pass... Any other good options that are functional with Linux?

What issue? I got a BIOS/UEFI update about a month or two ago. I can't say I've had any issue on the 16 inch model.

They did. They now offer an Intel Meteor Lake CPU option for the 13 inch model, as well as an improved webcam and a 120 hz and slightly higher resolution screen.

Yes I have. Each major change of XFree86 and then XOrg Server broke KDE, Xfce, & GNOME, who all relied on it at the time. That's why it never really changed much after 2012 and was "so stable". XWayland on the other hand will be maintained and should be usable long into the future for those legacy apps.
Wayland continues to evolve. I do hate the freedesktop bickering, though.

Except they ARE maintaining Linux. They're just not maintaining a borderline unmaintainable windowing system that cannot evolve without breaking DEs.

Uh, no. I use Wayland all the time and only on my desktop with an Nvidia GPU is it somewhat glitch, although @npub1ncy…3x0q Plasma 6.1 should fix that for Nvidia users.

That’s what I switched to as well. Hyfetch is alright, but I think I prefer something like FastFetch, as it is compiled (in C) versus interpreted (in Bash or Python).

If this eventually results in a coreboot option for the Intel Framework's (that aren't the Chomebook Edition), that'll be big for Linux users!
(Unfortunately, it seems like coreboot on AMD Ryzen CPUs isn't a think yet...)

Do you know what's causing the crash? I'm not saying that it's a legitimate problem with Hyprland, but do you know WHY it's crashing? Have you sent logs or filed a bug report with Hyprland's developer?
