I hear what you’re saying, too. But my experience within the medical community around ADHD has been that they are some of the biggest purveyors of incorrect or outdated information, and negative perceptions about what ADHD actually is.

Today I had someone decline an offer to talk about #adhd on their podcast because “it’s a medical topic and I’m not a doctor.”
Friends, in my experience most doctors are so wildly out of touch with the actual lived experience of ADHD people. That makes absolutely no sense.

My counter argument, I guess, is that if an editor that broke accessibilty and CSS on thousands (millions?) of sites and forces folks into a more convoluted dev setup needs to "win over users," maybe it shouldn't exist in the first place? At a minimum, not the way it's built.
This is a UX smell to me that says it's not solving real problems in a way that users want.

The use of lit is a separate conversation that's unrelated to how Shoelace has decided to implement their Web Components. Lit could be used with progressively enhanced Web Components, or JS-required ones.
That said, I think using a dependency to create Web Components completely erodes the "platform native and dependency-free" selling point.
