Saw a really clever idea to make a 24 speed #bicycle today. Instead of chain rings in the front, put an 8-speed cassette on a 3-speed rear hub.
Obvious issues: higher replacement cost for the hub vs chain rings, higher weight.
Obvious benefits: chain doesn’t hop off when shifting rings, and works incredibly for #foldingbike .

Getting pretty glum about 1Password 7 being EOLed and them breaking the browser extension on purpose. I do not want to sync my vault to their storage or use their new slow bad app. What’s your favorite #1Password replacement?

@npub1gv8…uu0q I'm not terribly comfortable with the idea of the government knowing about literally all of my assets and cash flows. Is that really how it is in Norway?
I'm fine with the mandatory reporting requirements in the US though (things like capital gains and interest reporting), which is generally enough to fill in a tax return properly, and the USGOV has it.

@npub1kvp…f9wh I don’t see any reason they couldn’t tax vapes. Seems like a young / old political power thing. I bet next step is actually a progressive age ban on cigarettes. Born after 2018? No smoking

Always fun to see a #golang post on the orange site.
Passionate FP programmers come out of the woodworks saying things like "Big Go programs become impossible to maintain because it's not readable" when there are dozens of counterfactuals. So much for their "mathematical rigor"
