Looking for book recs!
I’m heading to Czechia this summer, and I just realized—I don’t know any contemporary queer or feminist authors from there.
I’d love to read some local voices before (or during) my trip but I don’t speak Czech, so I’m looking for translations (EN, NL, DE).

@nprofile…7acd Haha, I did the same! I've got a self made e-book and a regular long distance bike and I can totally recommend this combo for all the reasons you mentioned. The only thing I've learned is not to push myself too hard. I made that mistake over the summer and ended up with a nasty relapse.
Do you have any experience or recommendations for cycling with a low heart rate (without using a smart watch)?

Feeling a little excited to share my training goals with you all: By March, I aim to ride 30km—why 30km? Because it’s the distance I need to bike to get to work (15km each way).
It might not sound like much, but for someone recovering from long COVID, it’s a huge challenge. I got infected over 2,5 years ago, and considering where I started, I’m doing well now.
Now, I’m ready to take the next step: training to bike to work again.🚴‍♀️

9 November 1989, the day the Wall fell. 35 years ago, on the night of 9 November, after months of protests, the border between East and West Germany was opened. It was the end of the German Democratic Republic (GDR).
A life changing day for me. I owe my life to the freedom of movement. I can't imagine what it would have been like if they had reversed the mistake of the night of November (it was not an official decision or order).

I've been growing chilli plants since February and they've been thriving! Now that autumn is here and the temperature is dropping below 10°C at night, I've decided to bring some of the plants into my bedroom to share my space with them. And look how well they're doing! Even though the season is almost over, they've had a boost and the plant is full of ripe chillies!

@npub1lkp…u7d2 Herkenbaar. Was vandaag nr de boekenwinkel gegaan omdat ik al veel over dit boek had gehoord en ik het dus nu ook van plan was om te lezen. Ik heb het weer weggelegd. Het leek allemaal erg toxisch.
