Then a numpad would be quite useful.
And yes. You're correct about the second part as well. You could add a custom key so you could use say Fn+1 for Ctrl+Shift+F1.
I almost never use the Function keys though. So that's not an issue for me.
It's the same thing with the numpad as well. I would rather buy a separate numpad if required though. I like being able to have my mouse close to the center.

Unless they all require the F1/12 keys or the numbers on the numpad, I don't see why it would be any difference at all?

I have no issues with it. And I'm a user of tiling window manager and mostly text-based software. My whole workflow is based on keyboard shortcuts.
What kind of shortcuts do you use?

Some of the physical keys have just moved to layers for quick access.
I really don't need to move my hands to access keys, which makes me *more* efficient than with a large keyboard, that requires me to physically move around my hands all the time.

Det finns lägre profiler på hattar. Om de är tillräckligt låga, är subjektivt förståss. XDA är ganska låga, men inte 'laptop-låga', eftersom att Cherry-brytare inte är låga.
Det är OEM-profil som används på 'vanliga' mekaniska tangentbord.
Det finns dock väldigt låga brytare, men då är vi inne på en rätt ostandardiserad marknad, vilket kan bli klurigt med kompatibilitet.

Jag har byggt egna tangentbord, samt även bedrivit eget företag där jag sålt egna kretskort för tangentbord. Jag har väl snappat upp lite genom åren. :)

En bra svensk sida är Maxgaming.se. De har mycket lättillgängligt. De brukar har helt okej priser också. Men det går ju ibland att komma billigare undan om man köper utomlands, men det varierar från vart och hur mycket man köper (ev. importavgift osv).

@npub1fkd…85ac Why does your app choose roads that are blocked by gates when navigating by car?
I was in a new (for me) area. I let Organic Maps choose the route. It chose a 45 min route. When I'm close to the destination, I get stopped by a gate. I then had to drive for another 40 minutes to get to my destination.
