The way I’m understanding this, you’re arguing that violence has always won? Which is a fair point, but maybe even a stronger argument against the State. Just like @npub1l27…zpk4 said, the US colonies never had a choice of being stateless. They were colonies of a state and then became a state with a ruling class (white men). You see, the vast majority of people had no feasible way of showing their discontent.
I see anarchy as a form of liberation from violence. I mean the civil rights movement(s) were exactly that: the oppressed mobilizing and emancipating themselves by liberating themselves from that violence. They weren’t completely successful because they remained subjugated to the State, just not as disadvantaged as before. Maybe the change we need is something akin to the civil rights movement, but a bit more radical in that it renders the state unable to suppress the revolting masses.

You are basing your argument on the assumption that anarchist communities would fall back to the centralized power which enables mass production and fuels climate change. That’s totally antithetical to how anarchism works lol.
Anarchist societies wouldn’t mean chaos but rather decentralized power - like the fediverse. That means those communities would be so small, they would amount to a small puzzle piece in the climate disaster, instead of the imbalance of power small countries have to deal with right now.

If everyone were to reject everything “new” because “there are no large scale examples to observe”, science wouldn’t exist. Someone needs to do the work for there to be something to observe.
As for nation states, I’d bet none of them would be able to sustain their power once the economic collapse invoked by climate catastrophes begins to settle in.

To your first point, I hope it is obvious to anyone that what we need to realize is that humans are culpable, therefore we can’t concentrate power in the hands of a few (current state of affairs). That is what anarchy IMO is all about: small self-governed communities of people working together voluntarily for the benefit of everyone else. The small size of each community would allow for everyone to get involved and have a chance at being heard.
I agree with your second point, though. The only thing that is keeping me going at this point is the hope that the economic collapse invoked by the climate catastrophes that are soon to come would bring about the change and liberation that has been due for so long.
