The situation won't be much different from the current #fiat system, except for one crucial aspect: the possibility to opt-out. Bitcoin offers an alternative for those who want to escape the legacy financial system.
Most people will never care how their money operates, just like they don't care about the inner workings of their cars. Number go up, but it's mostly due to bitcoin being denominated in hyperinflating fiat currency rather than the immediate adoption of hard money standard.

One year ago, my health was a disaster. 😢
I could barely do one pull-up and could not bother to exercise or eat well. 👎
I decided to start practicing what I preach. No more excuses. ☝️
Proof of Work, mind and body, must be the way. 💪
I was 10kg too heavy, which hindered every aspect of my life — very precisely, my passion: bouldering. Imagine climbing an inclined wall with 10kg extra strapped to your waist.
Yeah, no. 😅
But being able to compete in an obscure sport was not enough.
I needed peers. 🤝
My friend and Konsensus Network co-founder Edouard stepped in. His remarkable self-control, sense of agency, and total accountability impressed me deeply. He made me want to be a better man and showed me how. For that, buddy, I am in your debt. ❤️💪
Another friend and peer is Riku, who dragged me out of my man cave to incorporate regular exercise into my “too busy” schedule — something I have never done. Now I exercise 5x a week. Jungle gym, sometimes bouldering. Thanks for holding me to it, mate!
I am now 3kg away from my target weight, can do nine pull-ups, and did not place last in a bouldering competition like the year before. I have a long way to go, but I can’t ignore the results!

Listen. #Bitcoin IS a weapon. It's the most powerful weapon ever discovered. BUT "weapon" is a loaded word (heh), so we are biased to picture attacking rather than defending. Bitcoin is the ultimate weapon of defense. Protector of sovereignty and individual property rights.
Attacking a peaceful individual is an act ow war. The crime of the highest kind. It's up to the wielder of the weapon, or tool to choose their actions. We are not rushing to ban hammers because someone chose to use a nail conveyance protocol to bash in heads, now are we?

Even though #bitcoin is a tool, a weapon, a asset-message conveyance protocol, it CANNOT be used aggressively. Why? Because it is fundamentally voluntary. You could force one to use bitcoin at gunpoint, but you can't bend the protocol itself to become aggressive.
Sure, El Salvador or any other nation state might mandate the use of #bitcoin , which is categorically coercion to achieve compliance, not adoption, an act of aggression on peaceful individuals. That doesn't change the base protocol of bitcoin. Tick, tock, next block.
Here it gets a bit tricky. Those unwilling to adopt a #bitcoin standard will be left behind.
