I did some digging. It seems that Tari Universe piggybacks off the monero hashrate at 50% reward rate on supported pools. It's pretty early stages but has some backing and seemingly decent heads about the project.
It's a merge mine when you mine monero say using XMRig on a supported pool. You earn your monero rewards as usual, but also earn XTM as well, at a 50% reward rate. The other 50% would go to the tari universe ecosystem.
Tari is fundamentally a new PoW network L1 and L2 that basically replicates Bitcoin and the L2 being Ethereum.
It's community driven but has sillicon valley VC funding and from the Monero crowd probably seeking a way to expand the ecosystem. It's run Fluffypony and crew out of Jo'burg.
they did a 30% pre-mine which is odd at first, but then you also realise that Satoshi did a premine too and PoW networks need that in the early days.
Ultimately, it's Monero's take on NFTs, Smart Contracts, Crypto Games, digital assets and all that other stuff that makes up the market outside of Monero, using Monero's hashrate as it's PoW.

I don't think it's individuals. It's trusts and companies.
Individuals can be pressured, trusts can't.
Same problem in South Africa, in fact part of this whole land issue.
They create trusts to remove personal responsibility like taxes, rates etc. and then either sell slots or shares (private seats) in the trust.
Real estate is also good recurring income and a hedge in uncertain times

google's admob fucked me last night by suspending the account without any way to appeal for 29 days. Generated a some revenues there and they basically rug pull you.
so I said, fuck that shit and spent the whole night and morning redoing the advertising in my game. Removed adMob, added LevelPlay mediation (more than one ad network served) and rebuilt and redeployed the game to the play store at 4 am.

The best way to do this is to run our own ads, but in the early stages, this small revenue stream helps facilitate/motivate the development of a game. I can only imagine what they do to other developers who run their ads then rugpull them and the cash without any way to recall or get support. And this is Google no less.
