I need a bit more soil for the second bed and the components for a cattle panel arch.
Beds have about 4 inches of chopped slash, raw compost and biochar. The remaining depth is filled with 1 1/2 year old cow bedding compost.

The story follows a boy who likes pie more than cake as he grows pumpkins for his own birthday pie. There's a subtle undercurrent in the story emphasizing the patience in the undertaking. There's also age appropriate information on the how-to side without bogging the story down.

I've hated the state for a long time. It seems like one of Trump's best features has been making it ok to ridicule the state. The left makes him out to be a buffoon (which he often seems to be), but the right realized decorum is dead and all these stuffed suits aren't smart or special, so everyone is laughing at the government while the whole house of cards that is the fiat-built, global-order, superstate crumbles. My greatest hope is that Trump is a monkey wrench in the gears of the machine and that it seizes up and collapses in a way that individuals can reclaim sovereignty. Let's build things.

I agree there would still be problems. But I do think if financial compensation and opportunity were severely curbed, less people would seek those positions, and very few would have the wealth to sustain them long-term. A better class of person may be able to take those positions more often.

This is 14 cups of cooked keiffer pears. It's a fairly grainy pear, but real nice flavor. Cooked, it tastes like there's vanilla in there in with a great pear flavor.
We're making pear butter with inspiration from a recipe I found online. Ours will be the 14 cups of cooked pear puree, 1 1/2 cup of sucanat, 2 tsp dried orange peel, and 1/2 cup of orange juice.

Jordan Green is a farmer that sells (or did for a good while) piglets to polyface. He throws down seed with the intention of the hogs eating up to 30% I think. Their rooting incorporates the seed into the soil some, which would protect some from birds. I'll see if I can find the videos he did on it years ago.

I guess I don't know where you are, but farmers around here (nw ohio) are still putting in wheat a bit. Maybe wheat/triticale/rye for a grass, clover will either sprout now or spring, vetch of some sort, winter peas maybe. I got a winter cover crop mix from true leaf market last fall and am still using it this year with good germination (when timed with moisture because it's been so frigging dry)
