I think there's a very small area near West Virginia in the SE with rattlesnakes and maybe a small population of cottonmouths somewhere. Everything else is small and non-venomous. The largest I've seen in my area was a 4 ft blue racer.

It's been a few years since I did anything on a roof. The contractor I worked for would get this brand. About half of the shingle is what you see that has the damage. Then there's a line of tar that the overlapping shingle will adhere to when the sun warms it all up. The part of the shingle that gets overlapped is tapered so it doesn't stick past the overlapping shingle.
I'll see if I can find a decent repair video. You may be able to use something like flex seal for a temporary fix.

Can you elaborate? I used to ferment in flip tops for a few days, then refrigerate. This time I'm doing it in a big jar, then I'll rack off of the sediment into flip tops. Is that what you're suggesting or are there other steps?

I generally think of it more as a probiotic, so I usually drink it pretty quick. I think a year or so ago I discovered a bottle in the fridge that was several months old and it was very tasty. I'm not sure how long it will keep though.

3/4 (scant) cup sucanat (could probably use 1/2 a cup or less even?)
1 Tbsp sassafras bark
2 tsp cinnamon chips
1 tsp grated dried ginger
1/2 star anise pod
1 toasted cardamom pod
1 clove
3 allspice berries
Simmer on stove for a while then allow to cool to between room and blood temperature.
Pour to vessel and add ~1/4 cup of sourdough starter.
Wait.
I'll probably rack this into two 1 liter bottles in a few days.
Makes something between soda and beer. Sour flavor.

I need a bit more soil for the second bed and the components for a cattle panel arch.
Beds have about 4 inches of chopped slash, raw compost and biochar. The remaining depth is filled with 1 1/2 year old cow bedding compost.

The story follows a boy who likes pie more than cake as he grows pumpkins for his own birthday pie. There's a subtle undercurrent in the story emphasizing the patience in the undertaking. There's also age appropriate information on the how-to side without bogging the story down.

I've hated the state for a long time. It seems like one of Trump's best features has been making it ok to ridicule the state. The left makes him out to be a buffoon (which he often seems to be), but the right realized decorum is dead and all these stuffed suits aren't smart or special, so everyone is laughing at the government while the whole house of cards that is the fiat-built, global-order, superstate crumbles. My greatest hope is that Trump is a monkey wrench in the gears of the machine and that it seizes up and collapses in a way that individuals can reclaim sovereignty. Let's build things.

I agree there would still be problems. But I do think if financial compensation and opportunity were severely curbed, less people would seek those positions, and very few would have the wealth to sustain them long-term. A better class of person may be able to take those positions more often.
