The contractor I worked for would get this brand. About half of the shingle is what you see that has the damage. Then there's a line of tar that the overlapping shingle will adhere to when the sun warms it all up. The part of the shingle that gets overlapped is tapered so it doesn't stick past the overlapping shingle. \n\nI'll see if I can find a decent repair video. You may be able to use something like flex seal for a temporary fix.",
