Presenting Athenut – privacy-preserving web search powered by Kagi and Cashu
Always wanted to use Kagi but thought it's a joke that a privacy search engine requires you to create an account and pay with a credit card? Athenut wraps around the Kagi API and lets you pay for searches with Bitcoin. Every individual search is paid for with ecash which means that you have no account and your payments can't be correlated to your searches.
In the background, Athenut has an entire Cashu wallet built in that is almost completely hidden from the user. All the user does is to pay a Lightning invoice and see how many searches they have left. It's made for grug brains who want to be free. You pay, you search, that's it.
This is simply amazing, I've been dreaming about this for so long. It's only the beginning. We're going to make Error 402 great again!

GM, it's not the best book but it's honest work. What matters though is consistency.

On the spot, within a second or two, when life challenges you, to be able to recognize your emotions and to remember what you've once read and decided how you would act. The hard part is not understanding, it's acting on it when you actually need to. Even a child can understand it because what's good is often simple, even trivial.
The only way to get there is through repetition. Do philosophy every day and your moral instincts will grow like a muscle.

Those 1 sat tx can become inefficient over time, mints are expected to incurr fees at some point (a minimum fee of 1 sat is realistic). There are msat keysets where this becomes cheaper though.

I watched his QAnon documentary a couple days prior to this movie's release and I think the guys repeated the same thing he did before.
In his QAnon docu (which is really good), the 4chan admin basically trolls him the entire docu and then exposes himself as QAnon in a similar (but probably truthful?) troll comment as you did in the Bitcoin documentary. I think he may have thought "well, I found the first guy and he admitted to his identity through trolling, now the same thing is happening with Peter". The main difference being that the 4chan guys are literal knuckleheads.
I can recommend that documentary.

The fact that NIP-17 requires you to subscribe to two days worth of events just to get one message is extremely inefficient.
Either you need to keep track of all seen events in the last two days, or you generate a new pubkey for every message you want to receive (which you then also have to keep track of in most cases).
It basically means you can't offer NIP-17 functionality in a stateless library (something always needs to be kept track of).
I won't die on this hill but damn... this was a bad choice.

I think it's still a valid question and actually the biggest challenge in this current design. Either the card needs brains to do coin selection, or the receiver NFC reader must select the correct amounts it wants to withdraw.
