I don't think about the opportunity cost much, because, any opportunity for a BSc in my area is in an industry I unfortunately cannot participate in, but if I could move elsewhere, I do give up a lot by spending more time on becoming what would be overqualified for many positions.
I don't know what I'll end up doing, as it will largely depend on funding and related matters, but just some things I was thinking about.
