Oh I see what you mean. Users can check their posts against relays. Mazin (npub18kz…x5sz) just released something like this with filter.nostr.wine (BenJustman (npub153x…ryu8) missed out there!) and also on nostr.band I think too.
There is a possibility that relay operators rug people though; get a bunch of people to pay for access and then turn off their relay. I doubt any of the OGs running these today are going to do that though - they’re here for passion and purpose, not money.
Part of why I think payment will shift to monthly/access soon enough though, hell you could easily do daily or weekly with how frictionless Lightning is.
