It's because the biggest public relays are strfry, I guess, like Damus and Band. And it's what cloud fodder (npub10np…tl5h) and Semisol (npub1226…grkj) use. Very hard market to break into. utxo the webmaster 🧑💻 (npub1utx…50e8) got a good break with Derek and you've got #Alexandria.
Relays always need a client or promotor, or something, as backend stuff is obscure. His npub is also just really old and big, and Nostr is hyper-lindy.
