Nurse who spoke English wasn’t on duty but we knew enough German to get by until the doctor arrived (who spoke English) and complete the birth. Swiss have Name Book you have to use to pick the name, luckily we had agreed on a name so when a new nurse appeared demanding to know the baby’s name I was ready to answer. Unfortunately our middle name was not in the Name Book so we got a call from the Name Police to change it a few days later 🙂
