My “baby” turned 19 today. I remember fondly the day (days) of his birth. He came into the world in a C-section (semi-emergency: required after 20+ hours of active labor and 60 hours since the start of contractions, but not in the danger zone yet).
As I waited outside the OR as they were prepping my spouse and about to bring me in. This guy in scrubs and a British accent appeared and started talking to me—it was after midnight, I had hardly slept in a couple days.
