So feel so much of this.
I always took care of my mom.
She wanted to die most of my childhood, threatening suicide, I would plead with her not to bc that meant I would be left alone, the sole focus of my father's abuse, I spent time trying to convince her to leave him. So much so, he wrote a manifesto about how he needed to "eliminate" me because I represented "strength" to her.
I eventually convinced her to leave.
But my role was sealed. I went on to always be the parent. I didn't know how to not be.
This all said, I miss my mom. A lot.
She would always allow me to vent about work and she was down for a rant about trump (all my life).
