at the peak of “film photography is dead, digital photography is the future”, i started going to a Goodwill store in a wealthy suburb and buying up film cameras the wealthy normies were dumping. Many of them for $5.
I even saw a Pakon f135 film scanner for $118. Hard to find those for under $3k these days.
point being, “this is the future” mobs are never 100% right, and often leave significant opportunities open as they rush to the next big thing.
