i have cloned rely and i will give it some good reading to figure out what this is about
modularity has not been a big focus with my work as i have kinda stringent definitions about what should be what and although i think that the existing mute/follow event data is probably not a final state the principle still applies (as in, whatever scheme can be used to assign white and black lists to nostr:npubs for a relay are still valid, i'm just working on a N=2 distance for what should be whitelisted, on the basis of the "friends and guests" model, as i am calling it).
i will of course steal all the good ideas i see in your code and add them to mine, and i cheer at the inception of a new relay architecture that is focused to your project's needs
we will collude to create better designs, because we share them with each other and find economically productive or at least theoretically efficient ways to do things that didn't exist before
