Yes, if you're running your own node then you'll have to open and manage channels like that. Bht if you just want to zap on nostr then a custodial lightning wallet is easiest. Coinos (npub1h2q…w8ch) is very easy to set up, has NWC that syncs with basically any client, and has great liquidity.
