The point of #Bitcoin isn't to give everyone self-custody of their money
It's to ensure that the base layer of money is incorruptible
Nobody has the power to manipulate the supply of Bitcoin
Nobody can steal your Bitcoin by diluting your holdings
There will never be more than 21M BTC
They also won't be able to take your Bitcoin away by decreasing the supply or reversing transactions
Eg. The US government sanctioned Russia and "deleted" their US Treasury bonds
In the next ~30 years, the majority of people will be using Bitcoin in some way, but they will never interact with the blockchain
