Perfectly understood. Not sure there would need to be a constitutional amendment to make this type of change to the USPS.
With all the historical context taken into consideration relating to what groups were able to “level up” their economic position, there should be sound economic reasoning for making changes to infrastructure within a market place that claims or strives to be free.
Part of the reason we have the poor economic/monetary policies here in the USA is because of the pandering to and consideration of special interests. Allow free markets to exist in conjunction with releasing the restrictions on private enterprise to develop and you will see dramatic increases in innovation and health competition across all markets.
True capitalism will allow all people groups to advance/prosper. What we have now is phony capitalism where by monopolies and cartels are formed by lobbyist and special interests.
Allow people to be free to peruse their aspirations and you will see human behavior changes. Time preferences will lower as people begin to value their future more.
