Are you aware that the USPS was a major driver behind building the black middle class in the United States in the 1940s? It also serves rural America in ways that private carriers can’t do because of the lack of efficiency. I’m not saying that it shouldn’t be streamlined a lot but full privatization is probably impossible without an amendment to the Constitution.
