I dispute none of this, but I have contemplated, and I believe solved, the clog problem.
Like with any machine tool, you just hose down the work piece and the cutting edge with lube/coolant. So rig a drum of PB Blaster up to flow a few GPH all over the knife and the tranny and everything. Should sluice right through without a fight.
