I think the Chinese knock-off I got was a holy trainer clone, but of one of their early models. I'm liking the look of the Kink3D Cobra, which BluPup SuPup (npub14u7…t8pt) also suggested.
They also suggested securing it with a band/string around the waist to hold it close, and help against unwanted growing. That might help you too, if you haven't tried?
For now, medical tape for a DIY gaff seems to be okay for me, and I'm not really feeling any discomfort with tucking. It even seems to hold up against wetting, so I might stick with that for now.
