The too much population argument is ecofash rhetoric. It discards why people have many children. Because the children are dying like it's the middle ages (or they're white, rich, techbro, eugenic, longtermist fash), because of the engineered Global N-S poverty.
If you'd phased out animal produce (I know, vegan wet dream⸮) and used the now available land of sufficient quality to grow human food you'd probably manage to feed everyone.
