Yeah... that's gotta be something about how they handle changes to the display name. They are obviously seeing your kind 0 note and updating other profile info accordingly, but they are not updating the display name that is contained in THE VERY SAME NOTE!

I can remember back in the day when Laeserin (npub1m4n…c2jl) was always changing her display name and profile picture, which was confusing a lot of users because they didn't recognize her and wondered why this person they hadn't followed was showing up in their feed. Maybe changing display name is not respected in these clients to help prevent something similar?
