Shouldn’t take more than a minute. Try uninstalling and reinstalling.
Tried to connect cashu.me to amethyst with NWC and when I try to zap it can't quite go through (looks like it's 95% loaded but doesn't finish). So I tried to set up Zeus as an alternative lightning wallet and when I do the quick start setup its getting stuck at "Zeus is starting your node" for hours.
Any advice?

I think these "starter packs" are a really good idea.
Seems like something that a combination of AI crawling relays to gather semantic data on certain note "kinds" and WoT would be good for. Like a semantic "score" plus some combination of WoT score on authors along with "view" data on the notes the materials are in. That could do some of the heavy lifting and then refinement of the packs done over time by the users.
Just thinking out loud, don't mind me.

At the time, nostr was barely more than an idea. Very few were using it. Fewer still understood what it could become. And yet, there was something unmistakable in it—something honest. Something necessary.
Fiatjaf’s design struck me as elegant in the way that only true protocols can be. The best systems do not need to be sold. They are not invented so much as uncovered—like mathematical truths. Good protocols take minutes to explain, hours to design, days to write, weeks to prove, months to mature, and years to replace.
In 2008, faced with institutional failure and monetary abuse, someone with a poor choice of OS, limited programming ability, and a basic grasp of cryptographic primitives carved out a narrow escape route—one governed not by authority, but by thermodynamics and consensus. It wasn’t genius that gave Bitcoin its strength. It was the refusal to ask permission. It worked because it could not be stopped.
Nostr shares the same impulse. It is raw, principled, decentralised, and unowned. Its power does not come solely from its technical design, but from the ethic of those who use it—those who build without permission and speak without fear.
The need for such tools became inescapably clear during the pandemic, when a once-free civilisation chose compliance over conscience. Dissenting voices—many of them scientific, rational, and well-informed—were erased from public discourse. Had nostr existed at scale, the outcome might have been different.
Many believe Bitcoin’s progress means the danger has passed. I believe the opposite is true and that it's not time to let our guard down. If Bitcoin is the way out of monetary tyranny, nostr is the exit from informational control and the foundation of networked resistance. But we must remember: protocols are inert. It is not the tools that will save us. It is the will to build—and the courage to resist.
I’ve been quiet these past months, for a reason. But after a period of reflection, something new is taking shape. More to follow, soon.
I think its a matter of organizing the data streams.
I use Gossip desktop app for security and responsiveness (private key stays on local machine).
It allows me to put different people in different groups and groups can show all comments / replies of individuals or just main posts / notes.
This reduces noise dramatically. Focus is on what matters.

I also need a free or cheap media host that is reliable and easy to use, as I have found that my first uploaded files on nostrcheck.me have been deleted. It's also important to have an account, a page where I can see all my files together.
Satellite CDN seems like a good solution, but when I say reliable, I mean reliable in the sense that I will still be able to access my files long after that. I am hesitant because Satellite seems to be no longer in development, abandoned. What do you think?
My problem with @nprofile…sdxk seems to be solved in the coming days, Adam is very helpful. But in case it doesn't, I'm looking at other alternatives and trying @nprofile…6tav. I think Coinos is a much easier solution for NWC. Minibits is only accessible from a phone, so if I want to zap someone from my desktop computer, the desktop site/plugin has to connect with the mobile app. I'm not sure if it will be a pain in the future. Any ideas?

Carboxylic Biochar
Lower temperatures in biochar production (350-500 C) results in more "functional" groups. These groups provide the char with a higher negative charge. These chars adsorb much more positively charged ions than char produced above 600 C and have a much higher CEC (cation exchange capacity). The positively charged ions in question happen to be the majority of macro and micro nutrients necessary for plant growth and health.
Higher temp chars are more hydrophobic, have less negative charge and therefore less CEC.
The functional groups provide sites for microbial colonization as well so they increase the "life holding capacity" of soils. Further increases of these functional carboxylic (-COOH), phenolic (-OH), lactone (C(O)O-{carbon chain}-OH), and carbonyl (C=O) groups occur if the char is exposed to steam while still hot.
Steam oxidation at 400°C for 2 hours can nearly double the CEC of biochar compared and significantly increases the concentration of functional groups on the surface.
