Ge nostr. Finally got Facebook to schedule my account for deletion. There may be an orphaned Instagram account that I never used hanging around out there, doubt I'll ever be able to access it. I created (and just deleted) a Whatsapp account as part of trying to access the IG account. Fuck it. On a sadder note, also deleted my dead cat's FB account (they wouldn't ever allow me to memorialize it anyway.) That should have me entirely out of Meta except for that orphaned IG account that I will probably fuck with again in the future, trying to delete it.
I think that leaves LinkedIn as my only corporate social left.
Also, in separate news, wife is pissed (both in the American sense, still; I did try to apologize for missing her texts yd, but it apparently didn't land - and in the British sense, already several tall boys in.)
Should be a great night!

Christ After the Resurrection: Similarly, when Christ appeared after His resurrection, He was not immediately recognized. Mary Magdalene mistook Him for the gardener (John 20:14-15), and the disciples on the road to Emmaus spoke with Him without realizing His identity (Luke 24:13-16).
This unrecognition highlights the transformative journeys of both Joseph and Christ. For Joseph, it symbolized the profound changes that had occurred in his life since his betrayal. For Christ, it reflected the glory of His resurrection and the new reality of His divine mission.
# Service, Authority, and Exaltation
The parallels between Joseph and Jesus deepen when we examine their service, exaltation, and the authority granted to them:
Joseph’s Service to Pharaoh: Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams and devised a plan to save Egypt from famine. In return, Pharaoh elevated Joseph, placing him second in command over all of Egypt and granting him authority to act in Pharaoh’s name.

Christ’s Forgiveness: Christ’s apostles faltered during His crucifixion, denying Him and fleeing in fear. Yet, after His resurrection, Christ forgave them and restored their faith. His forgiveness extended beyond the apostles to all humanity, as He bore the weight of sin to reconcile us with God.

Joseph’s Elevation of His Brothers: Joseph granted his brothers lands in Goshen and access to the abundance of Egypt. He brought them under his protection, elevating them despite their betrayal.
Christ’s Elevation of the Apostles: After His resurrection, Christ promised His apostles positions of authority in His kingdom. He said, “I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel” (Luke 22:29-30). The apostles, once faltering and afraid, were transformed into co-rulers under Christ’s authority.
# The Result of Recognition
In both stories, recognition of the Savior leads to transformation:
Joseph’s Brothers: When Joseph revealed his identity, their fear turned to awe, and their betrayal was met with forgiveness. Their recognition of Joseph as both their brother and their savior brought about a profound reconciliation.
The Apostles: When Christ revealed Himself, their doubts and fears were replaced with faith and joy. Their recognition of Christ as the risen Lord empowered them to spread His message and build His kingdom on earth.

The stories of Joseph and Jesus Christ are deeply intertwined, reflecting God’s consistent work of redemption throughout history. If you're using Snort, Amethyst, Nostrudel, Coracle to 0xChat then your DMs and their metadata are private. If you're using Primal, Damus and others, then the DMs are private but the metadata is leaked. Devs who keep telling users not to use Primal because “x, y, or z doesn’t work” the way they think it should are missing the point that Primal provides the easiest to onboard and most reliable user experience on nostr for users who don’t have time to tinker with stuff all day long. Your self-imposed purity tests of what a true nostr client/user should be are a waste of time and energy and will lead people to ignore you. You have to build things that normal everyday people will want to use, unless you are specifically building for a niche market/audience. I use a variety of nostr apps, including Primal. Each is good for different reasons, and Primal is good because it’s easy to set up, easy to use, looks beautiful, and for the most part every button and gesture does what you’d expect it to do.

Are today's politics generally useless? Yeah kinda, I understand the common bitcoiner sentiment.
But, like, it wasn't always like this. It's a common trap to get way to extreme. As long as we are human, we will need to form groups. Those groups will have to make decisions. That's politics.
To say that groups shouldn't be able to make decisions, or that it will always be flawed, is shortsighted.
