Ghost has some exciting news in their latest #ActivityPub progress update:
"The other thing we're now working full-speed towards is open sourcing the new ActivityPub Service GitHub repository. That means the code will be available for anyone and everyone to see, use, follow-along-with, or contribute-to."

I wrote about how Patreon needs to join the #Fediverse:
"Why would a creator send their audience to a third-party platform when Instagram and Threads can be a one-stop-shop with their existing followers while having access to new paid subscribers across the social web?

Man, it sucks that one big social network got taken over by a bad actor billionaire and another is potentially being banned by the US. All that hard work people put into building out their audience absolutely wasted by forces out of their control.
I wish there was a social media option that allowed you to take your following from one service to another so you're not beholden to who makes decisions for the one you're currently on.
