It never was. That has always been just a meme.
No one thinks they are better than you by using Arch or some l33t distro. They dont even know you. Maybe you think "they" are better than you, in which case, i mean, maybe they are at some thing, but theyre frankly no more or less than you. Theyre just doing their best writing documentation and helping users.
If these were so l33t and such a flex, the community wouldnt be putting out documentation on the wiki and packages on the AUR. If youre getting bullied by the mean lincucks its just a way of them saying "this should be obvious to you" or "this already is in the docs/wiki."
Be humble if you know something and just as humble if you dont know something or if you dont know that you dont know something.
