I guess it depends on the person, some were just superficial acquaintances that had fun takes and such, but weren't important enough for me to follow to Bluesky or Threads or whatever. I have other means of communicating with my real friends and people who matter, outside big platforms.
I still have Twitter, but go there rarely. I never post anymore. I keep FB because of work and some groups, but I never post. IG is bleh, especially for a newcomer.

I agree, I'm so happy with Mastodon.
Screw algorithms, they don't really help anyone. That's one of the reasons it drew me to Mastodon. Ofc, I lost touch with people I was following, but suprisingly I found out I don't have FOMO over that.
