Starter packs is one of the better features there. I was added in one early on, and get new followers, but still no interaction.

What is the reasoning behind lowering the fan speed in the first place? I leave fan at 100% for all my TPU prints.

@npub1yrl…8gpm Garolite coated magnetic sheet :) If you use thin garolite, it's still quite flexible for taking the parts off. But I mostly had to use a printed scraper still, even after flexing, unless I left it to cool completely. Generally adhesion was really strong, but mismatch of material and bed temp would cause corners lifting, and it's also rather sensitive to levelling.
I'm now back to PEI because I still use Z stop and can't just easily switch between beds, and PLA was more picky for g-10 temps

@npub1yrl…8gpm I only printed PETG, PLA and some flexible on it. All the damage was from the time my Sprite spewed its bottom screws, and before that, it was rocking back and forth, so there are grooves now.
I took one of the spare magnets my PEI and magnetic flexible beds came with, and glued it to garolite. I did feel I had to use more temp on the bed (85° for my brand of PETG).

Only one thing is different between the left print and the top of the right print (the bottom is still the same). Both are TPU.

Finally printed with real TPU and could attempt a grip ring for my sewing machine. Previously I made them for two other machines with cylindrical wheels, but this one has a wide edge, so significant stretch is required to go over it.
It's a bit wide though, can't bring myself to cut such a lovely print, so I'll change the model and reprint. Meanwhile it can be worn as a bracelet ;) #3dPrinting #sewing

@npub1yrl…8gpm I've never cold pulled.
Depending on an extruder, you may be able to just break off the end of the filament with your fingers and feed it; or will need to cut it diagonally; or to cut on two diagonals, creating a pointy blade.
With Sprite, I'm usually at option 1 as long as the filament is more or less straight.

@npub1nwh…wpwa I'm looking to move from mine too. They have semi-blocked both two big ones (supposedly spam), fosstodon and universeodon (no idea why this one), so many posts in my feed show they have comments but I never see them until I ''open the original post.
So admins might be as clean as distilled water, but it's no fun without conversations, and who knows how many comments under my own posts I never see.

@npub1yrl…8gpm @npub12at…me5y I'd consider food safety of something that will spend a lot of time in baby's mouth. There is a recent article on the topic: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/373174194_Sanitation_Effectiveness_of_3D-printed_Parts_for_Food_and_Medical_Applications
But they haven't tested TPU. I also don't know if TPU is soft enough to bite off and swallow parts. I have some utencils that lost their handles due to baby damage, but they haven't swallowed them, just weakened with constant chewing.

How do you press all left shortcuts, like Ctrl W? I have a habit of pressing Ctrl with my left pinky which works well in many cases, but in case of those left shortcuts it's really painful to bend it that much while extending the index finger to reach W.
So I'm trying to teach myself to press modifiers with my thumb instead, and same goes for capital letters on that side... that's more brainpower I'm used to allocating to #typing! #ergonomics #keyboard

I was going to throw this pair of leggings away. They are old, made of fun cat print fabric that is, unfortunately, easily piling poly suiting, and I've changed sizes a lot since, and it was an imperfect test pair of a parametric design.
But I looked at the lovely invisible zipper in the back, where the waistband pocket is (tusky forgot this detail), and tried them on.
They almost fit and it felt logical to fold excess here and there to improve the fit, so I did. +1
