I got that feeling as well. I'm glad he has reconsidered.
Reading over his blog on Python features & changes over the years since he published 5e, he also sounds somewhat jaded/grumpy about how the language has progressed.

A nice bit of news for a Friday.
My first pull request has been accepted and merged for the #Python Developer's Guide.
This is a HUGE little milestone, for me.
It's only a few lines of documentation; but, it's a big motivator & confidence boost.

Over the weekend, my partner & I went to a Costco Business/wholesale warehouse for the first time.
She found a 5lb bag of coleslaw for $4 & absolutively had to have it. 🤔
This week, I am now learning how to make Korean omelettes(Gyeren Mari?) just like Grandma used to make her...🤣
5 frickin' pounds...

Got completely surprised, tonight, with a spontaneous sushi dinner date.
First time I've ever had tuna toro and it was absofreakinlutely delicious.

Yeah, a poor choice even if my barely rudimentary German failed to pick up on it(and it is pulling from a list of dates/times/temp). 'data' is a poor varname choice anyway. Disaster averted...😄

Even though I _know_ the singular of data is datum, I just can't bring myself to use it in a for loop:
for datum in data:
parse(datum[...])
It just looks goofy, to me, today.
(Thought: Why not use all "lorem ipsum" names for variables?)

Been eyeballing these #mushroom logs up at Snow Goose farms for, probably, over a year.
Today, on our weekend day trippin', we swung by to pick up some greens & stuff. In a moment of vulnerability, my partner opened the door, I gave in, and finally picked up a Blue Oyster log.
Here's to hoping I can stuff this into a dark, damp place & make #food happen.🤞
