Case in point, RRFs CAN-FD implementation uses a time sync protocol that's good within 10 microseconds (there is a whole set of superior elements in RRFs CAN-FD implementation that I coupf expand upon if there is an interest), and toolboard disconnects/reconnects can be handled without the whole machine crashing ...

@npub1yrl…8gpm @npub12at…me5y is that a heatsink on top of the plastic housing of the stepper driver? No wonder these burn up as you go. Looks like low copper content PCB so it's capacity as a passive heatsink is limited too.
Does Klipper not have a comparable facility to Marlins M43? That's super useful to sort out pins.
EDIT: This is so new it's not even listed on QIDI Techs website nor AliExpress store. Wow.

@npub1yrl…8gpm I can't but sit on the sidelines being used to no-frills-CAN FD toolboards from RRF and see a whole decade of printing enthusiasts being turned off off toolboards due to klippers complicated CAN setup and manufacturer's tendency to build marginally functional stuff. Especially as Formbot did build RRF machines in the past with some success.
(Maybe I built too many IDEX machines. Toolboards are nice IMO, but I only ever used Duet3Ds, MKS THR, and Fly SHT. On Klipper, I run them via USB)

@npub1sly…t8j7 als ich noch MacOps war und sogenannte Security Solutions evaluierte, bekamen wir einmal einen installer, der auch das gesamte ausgecheckte VCS incl. change history auslieferte.
Übrigens gehen diese ganzen kexts auch bei Kernel Updates / OS Updates kaputt, wenn man also upstream fixes will, dann nur ohne dieses Zeug in endlicher Zeit (ein Vendor versprach Updates "immer im Folgequartal eines neuen Releases").

How long is the bowden tube on the mini?my Bowden is fixed stationary on the Z tower; the Minis seems to be on the XZ joiner. Is that right?

This does not apply to just the rated wattage though; fir a very short time I tested a "400W/24V fan less" cheap PSU that seemed to good to be true. Turns out it was, it ran on Capacitors rated at 25V, with the V-Minion loads the PSU hit an internal temp of 90C (with components rated 85C). That went into the bin fast.

I built several (Librostruder which didnt work, and Palatis FricEx which did work but is massive), but Papilio and Papilio Lite are the first models that are valid direct extruders that can be used as drop-ins for Sherpa mini. Papilio Lite weighs in at roughly 110g!
