Autistic people have to work harder to process these changes, but knowing that fact makes it at least partially their responsibility to try.
As someone who is #ActuallyAutistic and raised a son who is as well, I taught him three things.
1. Listen to others to learn more if you don't get it right away.
2. Step back if you can when you need time to process new ideas or situations.

This is so many levels of bullshit.
I remember doing 'Oliver' in high school, but we didn't have any boys with the body frame and voice range for the lead role.
A middle school girl from a very conservative family pulled it off perfectly. Did the parents fret about how she was dressed?
Nope. They were too busy crowing about how at 14, she got the lead.
Did it 'groom her for the gay agenda'?
Nah. Last I heard, she's got 3kids she pushes equally into church, sports, &the arts.
