@npub1p9k…865w Yeah I think they did. I‘ve been working on an app that mostly will use the hand tracking. I couldn’t implement the tracking yet because a lab would be too short for this so I faked the input with a PS5 controller. So now I just have to wait for the device to launch in Germany and by the time I’m 99% sure someone else will already have released a similar app but let’s see 😂

@npub1p9k…865w I got the first iPad in NYC when it launched. It all worked out, but I had to use a US account for the app store until it launched in Germany. This time, I won’t be able to afford 3500$ + VAT + German customs + flights and hotel. I hope it just doesn’t take too long until the release in Germany 🥲

@npub1sy6…5dxr Interesting, I always felt like I was too stuck with my heavy rotation for a long time and I‘m finding it quite refreshing to have a little more discovery now. But I can also understand that can feel annoying if it’s too much. What always keeps me aways from Apple Music is that all of my friends are on Spotify, I have so many shared playlists, some exist for over a decade. I don’t want to give that up…

@npub1p9k…865w I also find that a huge problem. I‘m currently developing an app for visionOS that relies on hands input in a 3D world. I am currently „simulating“ the hands input with a PS5 controller but that doesn’t use the actual hand tracking API of course. I won’t be able to finish the app before getting a real device, but, living in Germany, that will probably be long after it was already released in the US.

@npub1u24…32pl Been using it in production a lot, I wouldn’t want to work on a project anymore that doesn’t use SwiftUI at all.
Looking forward to the „Is SwiftData ready for production“ era 😂

@npub1sy8…w2zc I never found a way of modifying the SwiftUI View that comes out of the UIViewRepresentable. E.g. if I want to always apply a modifier to it, I have to wrap the UIViewRepresentable in another SwiftUI View. But then I would also have to pass through all the same parameters which creates additional maintenance effort.
