Playing with @npub18zt…n9w6.
Testing the automagically importing from YouTube option. I still had a channel on #YouTube with #music & #sound tinkering which I wanted to move to PeerTube for quite some time.
#Makertube seemed like a nice site, so I decided to apply for an account to play with @npub1lf3…8pta without having to clean up my vps or create another one 😉
Got my account approved, donated some money for the hosting & now my YouTube footage is moving towards the #Fediverse. Pretty cool 🤓 😎

After lunch we continued @npub1kgr…juu7 with in my case Marit Hoefsloot & Danny Lämmerhirt from @npub1zus…f74w. Their presentation dives into the Mobifree project, which 'works to give European citizens and organizations more choice in, and access to, human-centred and ethical mobile software.' This is more of a workshop in which audience participation is requested as you can see in the photo.

The slide shows a difference of 60% in collecting data between EU & data. In the USA 60% more data was collected in this research project compared to the same research done from the EU.
I wonder, could the difference be explained by EU legislation?

"Waar we ons voor de zomervakantie nog zorgen maakten over het aangescherpte beleid rondom het gebruik van mobiele telefoons, blijkt dit in de praktijk geen enkel probleem te zijn. Zowel leerlingen als docenten waarderen de rust die het nieuwe beleid op school heeft gebracht. In de mediatheek kunnen leerlingen spelletjes lenen voor in de pauzes en tussenuren, en daar wordt goed gebruik van gemaakt!"

@npub1jng…y7xd laten we aub stoppen met het verhaal dat bestuurders zonder technische kennis of affiniteit na een cursus afdoende weten om iets zinnigs te zeggen over deze of andere technische materie. Dit is respectloos tov het benodigde vakmanschap, ervaring & expertise.
Laten we eindelijk eens zorgen voor veel meer diversiteit in het bestuur! Meer mensen met (oa tech) praktische uitvoerende, expertise & ervaring. Meer verschillen in achtergrond, leeftijd, opleiding, geslacht, levenswijze etc

Gister stemde de 2e Kamer in met het aanpassen van deze wet, waardoor dit alsnog een Sleepwet is geworden. De 1e Kamer kan dit nu nog tegenhouden, maar afaik is de kans daarop vrij klein.
De partijen die voor & tegen dit wetsvoorstel stemden kun je vinden in het plaatje. Iets om mee te nemen in het stemhokje op 22 nov 2023
