@npub1rg5…tdr8 Oh, that's great. Yeah, the "visual" mode is the command sequence (I forget the default tmux one, C-b maybe?) with Esc, so for me that's Ctrl-space Esc.
Once you're in that, I have the navigation and copy/paste set up for vim-like operation, so I navigate, highlight and copy from the keyboard for all of that. You'll need to look up the default controls, or look at my config at: https://github.com/binaryphile/dotfiles/blob/main/contexts/office/macos/tmux.conf

@npub1rg5…tdr8 I use tmux, which allows you to copy-paste from one pane to another, but that's another technology. It is, however, a worthy tool in its own right, so I'd consider it if other options don't pan out.
As a bonus, tmux handles paging back through the buffer, so I never need to use less, which is one less piece of technology.
