I think we need a new rule against publishing vote intention or vote result maps above a certain scale. If you show the entire country in one image and place colours to represent political parties, you can't see the cities. In many cases, one city has as much population as much of the rest of its province. Big party colour blocks for rural or largely-empty areas and invisible tens of millions in urban areas is by its very nature a complete misrepresentation.

I just had to educate a 90 year old that healthcare is a provincial responsibility, and the reason her daughter with the broken leg was told by the ER to go home and take Tylenol and come back in two days to get it looked at. She didn't know about former PC leaders' ownership of private nursing companies, or Ford starving hospitals of money si the nurses will leave and they have to hire the private company and give our tax money to his old friend...
But on the upside, having laid all this out for her, I tjink she's decided which way she'll be voting in the upcoming federal... 🙂

He and Musk are very clearly, intentionally weakening and breaking the country.
As far as I can think of, there's only two possible reasons to do what they're doing.
1) They're making an obscene amount of money doing it, and/or
2) They're doing it for the sake of a hostile foreign power.
Point is: It doesn't even matter which of those is true; if either of them is, isn't that enough reason to stop him?

There are a number of photographers who follow me, and a number who follow them. For those into #photography--as a pastime, for interest, not necessarily professionally--is there a camera you might recommend as a truly budget-friendly, basic digital SLR?
All I'm looking for is to take it with me on walks or holiday, so that I take photos with it instead of with my phone, am more mindful in my photo-taking, and by walking around with it in my hand or around my neck instead of just within the phone in my pocket, I might be paying more attention to what is visually interesting that I might wish to capture, or even sometimes go out with the *intention* of taking photos.
Budget-friendly, basic digital SLR recc's? I'm not completely new to photography, but I'm not that experienced, either. Some creativity options and also some automatic modes would be nice.
