Another bit of fancy footwork, seeming to offer choice or a better deal but in fact sneaking the prices up.
We always bought a 24 pack of Cushelle toilet rolls. Recently we noticed the rolls had shrunk. Typical.
But last time we bought it, they boasted how they had made the rolls LARGER - except now there are only 16 in the pack.
The rolls are larger, yes, but 16 instead of 24 is a false economy, and actually is charging more for less!

People say, no bathroom? How did you bathe, wash or go to the loo?
You had a potty under the bed, you had an outside privvy for during the day, you washed at the kitchen sink, and to bathe once a week you had a tin bath that you filled with water, in front of the fire, and every member of the family took turns.
Our water was from the big tank outside fed by the downpipe, so lovely soft rainwater, which was heated up in the copper in the wash-house and carried in with buckets.

Big kerfuffle going on nearby. Just along the road here there's been a huge pileup, lots of sirens going off, emergency vehicles and even the air ambulance helicoper. Road is closed both ways.
I don't have full details but I do hope everyone involved is being cared for. The presence of the helicopter suggests there was an urgent need to get the victims to hospital.
I will have to watch the local newspaper to see more details.

Just recently I've come across photos and videos of very extreme body modifications, and it's worrying really how far some people will go. It's now much more common to see the huge lips, breasts, bums and facial changes, but as well as that there are seemingly more and more people who transform themselves into animals, demons, celebrities... and there's the man who believes he's a Collie dog and lives that way...with all the modifications to his body that it entails.

But FB has become not only very sluggish but I tried pasting a web link into messenger and it kept disappearing instantly. I wonder if it's possible to find out if I'm under surveillance.

It's now 3.35 pm and I haven't eaten breakfast yet. I've only nibbled on cheese to keep me going.
The reason is, we wanted to have some bread with breakfast and had run out, so hubby said he would walk down to the shop and buy a loaf. It would only take 10 minutes.
That was this morning. He's just rung to say he forgot about breakfast, and also there's nothing for tonight's meal as he (as usual) forgot to take something out of the freezer.
Looks like pizza yet again then.
