Yes, with the exception of the Eiffel Tower lightshow and the balloon cauldron, I think it really lost something being so spread out and with so much video - but even on TV, I think the atmosphere wasn't there in the same way. Maybe a bit unfortunate with the weather, but that too would have been less of a problem in a stadium.
