Those on the Irish far-left, who are now coming out of the woodwork 48 hours from a huge General Election with a full-scale campaign of anti-Sinn Féin propaganda, are merely demonstrating why the left here is ill-equipped to unite against the growing threat of the far-right domestically and abroad.
Other than SF there are no alternatives to the neoliberal madness of FF and FG in the Republic or the unhinged unionism of the DUP, UUP and TUV in the north.

I genuinely just saw this in action. Someone suggested they go read a serious anarchist text and all they had in response was claiming Mein Kampf and The Doctrine of Fascism.
Nobody tell them there was a point in time where Hitler and Mussolini were friendly with Stalin and vouched for the Soviet Union to become part of the Axis.

Agreed. Just look at Hollywood's attitude towards AI during the SAG-AFTRA strikes last year. They were absolutely considering replacing real actors with artificial copies rather than heeding industry strikers' concerns about AI amidst other labor issues.

Mind you, I'm still opposed to the "rah rah copyright protection rah rah" reasoning, I view AI as a crucial ethical issue when it comes to art in general, and must be kept completely separate from all that is produced by humans.
I don't disagree that AI could have use in other areas, but am all in favour of preventing the further bastardisation of creative industries with artificial slop by any means necessary.
