@npub1p45…89jz signal(SIGPIPE, SIGIGN); is the only proper way of handling that one, I'd be surprised to find use cases that wouldn't work better by detecting a failing read(2) or write(2)

@npub1074…z2j6 Even if it does not contain them, keep in mind the read noise and hot/cold pixels are sufficient to identify if two raw files were taken with the same camera.

@npub1p45…89jz Then you give in and attempt to compile your stuff on that 8 years old distro and none of the build requirements are met... That's why LTS distros have paid support, because upstream's good will has limits.

@npub1hyp…aehm CEO of a company selling bad quality printers at loss to recover on 10-100x ink costs blames counterfeit ink cartridges for causing "insert random or imaginary security issue" and uses it as a excuse to lock down the ink DRM on printers. That sounds more credible than the attack to printers through cartridges.
But to be fair, there's a massive amount of research being done by counterfeit ink companies to reverse engineer and break their DRM. They go as far as chip decap + ROM extraction to copy the secrets.

Raspberry pi 3 is millions of time faster than a 6502 but it still can't emulate a Nintendo NES without a very noticeable latency. Threads about it very quickly get argumentative, because let's face it, the whole software to hardware chain of emulators sucks.

#Bambulab may suck at communication and webshops but I'm floored by the quality of their product. From the moment I started unpacking it, I could see it was not only designed to work but also to be used.
This is my fourth PLA print ever, it's perfect.

@npub1r47…wytr There was a similar situation between Google and Rossel group (Belgium), owning some of the most important newspapers in Belgium like Le Soir. They were tired of google news aggregating their news for free, so they went to the court and judge asked that google removes all links to Rossel group's websites...
Which caused the websites to immediately lose 50% of their traffic and revenue. Rossel had to beg Google to stop applying the judgement to the letter.
